What is the cheapest and fastest way to travel from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), which is to the north of French city, across one of the world's busiest cities, to Disneyland Paris in the east?
There are three main options when you make this journey from Paris CDG to Disneyland Paris. Cheapest (RER train) is not the fastest, but if you have 80 minutes to spare, will save you money.
You can use the Magical Shuttle buses that run non-stop between the Paris CDG Airport and Disneyland and its major hotels, use Line A or Line B of the RER Paris trains and change in the centre of Paris, or travel by private taxi.
The attraction of travelling by train between Paris CDG Airport and Disneyland or Euro Disney is likely to come down to one thing - price. Using line A and B trains is the lowest cost transfer between CDG Airport and Disneyland.
The downside is that it is the slowest option and trains can be overcrowded which can be stressful, especially with luggage and kids in tow.
The RER train service from CDG Airport goes through the centre of Paris and is probably the cheapest form of travel to Disneyland Paris. At Chatelet station, Line B interconnects with Line A which runs out to Disneyland (station name Marne-la-Vallée). The interconnection is easy as both trains leave from the same platform.
At Marne-la-Vallée (Disneyland Paris) the railway station is next to the main entrance to Disneyland and the bus station. Free hotel shuttles run from here to all the major Disneyland Paris hotels.
If using this service be careful as on both Line A & B of the RER there are several branches to the line. Make sure the train you are boarding goes to CDG Airport or Marne-la-Vallée. Both stations are located at the end of the line (terminus).
Scheduled journey time will typically be around 80 minutes with 3 or 4 trains an hour. The service runs between 6am and 11pm.
Magical Shuttle runs a dedicated airport to Disneyland Paris bus service running non-stop between CDG Airport, Disneyland and the major Disneyland Paris hotels. Separate services run from both Orly and Beauvais Airports. Beauvais now offer a SuperShuttle service which provides a 24/7 service on request.
The service runs 7 days a week leaving every 20-45 minutes depending on time and season. The actual bus journey is around 45 minutes.
The Magical Shuttle bus has its CDG terminus at Terminal 2. If you are using Terminals 1 or 3 you can use the free CDGVAL train to transport you to Terminal 2.
At Disneyland Paris the bus stops at the bus/train station at Disneyland outside the main gates plus all of the official Disney hotels. From the bus station all of the hotel shuttles leave frequently. In the summer months there are some services that also directly visit some of the most popular non-Disney hotels. The ultimate and most convenient way of transferring between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Disneyland Paris is of course using a taxi or private vehicle with driver. The service is door to door with meet and greet at the airport. Make the journey in an eco-friendly hybrid car or minivan (depending on group size).
There is a flat fare system with a standard tariff between CDG Airport and Disneyland.
